Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, and the ability to apply these to work prioritisation in an acute care hospital based clinical setting.
2. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
3. Demonstrated experiences in working as a member of a multidisciplinary team
4. Demonstrates a thorough understanding and management of clinical deterioration
FYG Clinical Rotations
4 rotations: General medical, General surgical / Orthopaedics (includes ICU), Geriatric Rehabilitation, Musculskeletal Outpatients (including Hydrotherapy and Fracture Clinic)
Each rotation is 3 months.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 1630.
On call for weekends and public holidays.
Weekend Shifts
Weekend work only required if the regular weekend staff member is unable to work.
Weekend workload requires 6 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday.
Frequency of being on call is approximatley one in six weekends

Canterbury Hospital is situated between Belmore Station and Campsie station. It is well serviced by Bus services with direct routes to Bankstown, Rockdale, City, Burwood, Strathfield, Hurstville, Bondi, Five Dock, Drummoyne, and Concord.
Orientation Process
New staff will be required to complete the standard District orientation day and Canterbury Hospital Orientation Day.
Physiotherapy Orientation consists of a one week programme including orientation to each ward.
Some orientation is shared with Concord Hospital and will occur at Concord.

Support Mechanisms
Senior staff provide support for further education.
Regular supervision with designated senior staff member provided, in addition to regular supervision from senior in the rotation
