Selection Criteria
• Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and The Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Demonstrated core competency skills in Cardiorespiratory, Neurological and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience
• Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning

Working Hours
8:00am -16:30pm
Weekend Shifts
Most weekend shifts are covered by dedicated weekend staff. New raduate physios will be involved in a rotating weekend on-call roster (about 10 weeks of the year) and a rotating Saturday aged care shift that is worked as time in lieu of a weekday shift. New graduate physios work the majority of these in a block in the first half of the year.

Train to Caringbah then 7 minute walk.
Orientation Process
Contact Physiotherapy HOD on 9540 8300 to make arrangements for recruitment and orientation. Hospital orientation is conducted over two days.
Education Programs
Department inservices occur weekly with additional EBP inservices. In addition, some clinical areas conduct regular journal club. All clinical staff particpate in quality improvement activities and regular clinical supervision. For those interested, there is some scope for involvement in research activities.

Social Activities
New hospital (2003). Hospital redevelopment and reconfiguration completed in 2017. Undergoing theatre redevelopment 2021-23. Close to Cronulla beaches and Royal National Park. Friendly department with social activities planned throughout the year.
Support Mechanisms
Appraisals / performance revews every rotaton, regular clinical supervision sessions.
Annual Leave Policy
New graduate physios can apply to take a portion of annual leave. Preference will be given to permanent staff during high demand times.
