Selection Criteria

- Qualifications recognised for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and current AHPRA Registration. Please upload University results.
- Demonstrated relevant clinical experience for working at Ryde Hospital with a broad interest in all areas of Physiotherapy practice. Please upload APPS as evidence of undergraduate clinical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) and demonstrated computer literacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to Quality Improvement, ongoing professional development, evidence based practice and research.
- Current NSW drivers licence.
FYG Clinical Rotations
Each rotation is approximately 10 weeks in duration. The rotations include;
- Critical Care - ICU & CCU.
- Orthopaedics and General Surgery.
- General Medicine.
- Rehabilitation - in the Graythwaite Rehabilitation Centre. Experience includes Orthopaedic, Restorative and Neurological Rehabilitation.
- Outpatients - Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with a McKenzie Method Approach, Joint Replacement Program, and Orthopaedic Clinic.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30.
Weekend Shifts
Work 1:10 weekends (8.00 - 12.00, Saturday and Sunday, then 1 Rostered Day Off (RDO) the following week).
Public Holiday roster.
Evening shifts
No evening duty.

Plenty of street parking surrounding the hospital.
Walking distance from Eastwood and Denistone train stations.
Orientation Process
Contact the Ryde Physiotherapy Manager as soon as possible after notification of allocation.
NSLHD Corporate Orientation Program is a compulsory 1 day attendance at RNSH for all new staff.
Intensive Physiotherapy Orientation /Induction is provided during first few weeks of work. You will be 'buddied' with another Physiotherapist.
Education Programs
Weekly department inservices, staff meetings or journal clubs.
Various hospital inservices can be attended.
Encouraged to attend McKenzie Physiotherapy Part A & B.
