8.00 am - 4.30 pm Monday - Friday
Weekend Shifts
The eekend service is covered by permanent weekend phsiothepists in both acute wards / ICU and orthopeadics. Graduates will participate in the general weekend oncall roster (along with all level 1 / 2 staff). This is predeominatley to porvide occasional cover of permanent weekend staff leave.
Evening shifts
No set evening shift.
FYG will participate in the 24 hour on call service on a rostered basis. This involves being on call from 16.30 pm to 8.00 am for urgent deterioriating patients.

Concord has some onsite paid parking, with street parking approximatley 10 minute walk from the hospital.
Rhodes station is a 10 minute walk fro the hosptial and there are regular buses stopping at the hospital, running between Ryde and Strathfield / Burwod.
Orientation Process
All staff members participate in the Hospitals orientation process including online orientation and face to face sessions.
A comprehensive Physiotherapy specific orientation programme occurs in the first week of duty, including area specific tutorials, practical sessions and an ICU SIM session.
All new graduates then undergo a thorough and individualised orientation into ICU as part of their acute care rotation

Support Mechanisms
All graduates have structured supervision with seniors throughout rotations.
All graduates will have a non clinical mentor with monthly supervision conducted by a staff member that does not directly supervise them.
All staff in SLHD have access to the confidential EAP prgramme.
SLHD runs a staff wellbeing programme with regular medication sessions and staff wellbeing activities on a regular basis.
