Selection Criteria
As per Westmead Hospital- rural secondment from this as primary site
FYG Clinical Rotations
Inpatients: orthopaedics including plasters, general medical and surgical, ED
Outpatients: general musculoskeletal outpatients including orthopaedic group, small amount of inpatients as required
Working Hours
Monday - Friday 0830- 1700
Weekend Shifts
Occasional opportunity on voluntary basis only.
Evening shifts

Accommodation
Available.
2 bedroom unit within walking distance to the Health Service and Goulburn town.
Unit is shared by the 2 Physiotherapists on secondment.
Has a loungeroom and TV, equipped kitchen, bathroom and small courtyard.
Parking available at no charge on accommodation site.
For staff who already pay for accommodation elsewhere, there is no charge. Evidence of payment for your usual accommodation must be provided prior to arrival (details will be available when you commence at Westmead) to qualify for a fee waiver.
For staff who do not already pay for their usual accommodation, accommodation will be charged at the rate of $100 per week.
A refundable key deposit of $50 is required on arrival.
Travel
A travel reimbursement is paid for one return trip from Westmead to Goulburn.
Orientation Process
Orientation is provided at commencement of rotation and ongoing supervision and support is provided.
Education Programs
Weekly staff inservice.
Hospital Grand Rounds
Pre-Requisites e.g. D/L; Interest in clinical areas relevant to facility

Social Activities
1 3/4 hours drive from Liverpool. 1 hour from Canberra. 1 1/2 hours from the Coast. A rural environment with a large variety of sporting and recreational activities. Only 2 hours drive from the snow.

Regular supervision and support sessions are scheduled throughout placement.
